Brazil exceeds 1 million foreign tourists for the first time since 2020 — English
Brazil received more than 1 million foreign visitors in the first five months of 2022 – an amount not seen since 2020, and nearly twice that of last year. These results show the steady recovery of tourism in the country after the pandemic.
International air travel network in Brazil also grew in May, representing 74.4% of pre-pandemic capacity. Between January and May, 84 international flights were created or restarted. The number of monthly flights reached 3,547 (313% more than in 2021).
